about

If you are reading this, you are helping me live my dreams. All I want out of life is to share my music, love, happiness, and inspiration with others. However you happened upon these words, kudos for it! This album was thrown together in an hour and 500 copies were DIY pressed up in one night, in a desperate attempt to have something to bring with me on the road to trade for food and gas. I’m broke because I’ve spent all my time making these songs instead of working for money, so I decided to create my own currency with these cd’s. I think they’ll get me further than minimum wage paychecks anyhow, hopefully they get you somewhere too. The 21 songs that make up the 80 minutes of music on this album were just a random compilation of unreleased material that I’ve accumulated over the past few years. These songs are mostly unpolished demos that were recorded as I wrote the songs, so they have mistakes, they are lo-fi, they are not mixed or mastered, and I recorded all but “Slips through the cracks” and “tale of a gypsy bandit” by myself in my mum’s basement. Please excuse the poor sonic quality in exchange for a glimpse at the raw creative efforts of many late nights and inspired afternoons.

I dedicate this album to my mom, my dad, Annie Alkaline, and The Fiends of Expression: William Gilliam, Dylan Gittings, Michael Yu, and Mike Argol. These 7 souls, more than anyone else have inspired me to get moving and to bring my songs and myself out of the basement and back out into the world. Thanks guys. Thanks to Joey Owens for the album art, and all the other Roaming Bear Militia artwork that he has contributed to my endeavors. He’s never asked for anything in return for his creative efforts, which I admire more than I could ever express. This is how giving should always be, we should always give all, because that’s really the only way to give. Never let em keep you down! Keep on loving, and never stop fighting for what’s right!
