We recorded this whole album in about an hour in Chris Sloan's spare bedroom and bathroom out in Colorado while passing through on our summer tour in 2008. We recorded it with Audacity, a program we downloaded for free. There were no mic's used besides the one shitty built in computer microphone, and this was all done in one take. Mike Yu played an acoustic electric bass amplified through a talk box (the thing peter frampton used to make his guitar say DO YOU FEEL?) Ethan played a snare drum, a bottle of pills, and an ash tray, with a spoon instead of a drumstick... he broke his arm the day before we recorded this so he could only use the one that wasn't in a cast. I (bear) just played my acoustic guitar. We staggered ourselves throughout the room to get this "pro" mix. You'll be lucky if it doesn't make your speakers clip.
